Hi 5th Grade Families!
My name is Madison Lewis (students refer to me as Ms. Lewis), and I am this year’s 5th Grade Teacher at Stella Maris Academy. This will be my first year here at SMA and my fourth year as a 5th grade teacher.
Before coming to SMA, I received my education from University of Hawai’i at Manoa and spent three years teaching on the Island of Oahu. Last year I taught at a Catholic school in Orange County. I strive to create a place where students want to learn and where their learning is encouraged and supported. It is my goal to create an environment where students feel valued, empowered, and inspired to reach their full potentials spiritually, academically, and socially.
I am so overjoyed to begin this school year with our amazing 5th graders! It is a true blessing to walk alongside each student as they grow not only in knowledge, but also in faith and character. This year will be filled with exciting opportunities, whether we’re diving into new math challenges, exploring history and science, or enjoying the creativity of Art, Music, Spanish, and P.E. Most importantly, we will keep Christ at the center of all we do, building a classroom community rooted in kindness, respect, and joy. I cannot wait to see all that God has in store for us this year!
Be sure to stay up to date with updates on Planbook and weekly newsletters. Please always feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need clarification.
It is such a privilege to walk alongside you in helping your child grow into the unique, talented, and faith-filled person God created them to be. I’m looking forward to all the wonderful learning, laughter, and memories we will share together this year!
